-Why Oil Cleanse?

Oil cleansing may seem like a new trend but like Tallow Balm, it has been used for thousands of years, popular in ancient Egypt, Rome and Greece.

Dirt and impurities from your day become trapped on your skin in sebum oil or oil based products such as makeup, sunscreen and yes, even Tallow Balm.

Like dissolves like, and so our Oil Cleanser effortlessly dissolves all of these things on your face and can then be removed, leaving you with a lovely, supple and balanced feeling.

Free from cheap filler ingredients, ultra processed seed oils, irritating detergents, surfactants and parabens.

Oil cleansing is much gentler on your skin than soap or water based cleansers common on the market today. It doesn't strip your skin, dry it out or kill the microbiome. Our Oil Cleanser also has powerful benefits from the luxurious Jojoba and Olive oils. Plenty of fatty acids, antioxidants and vitamin E to replenish and hydrate your skin.

-How to use

Thoroughly massage a few pumps onto face for 30 seconds to a minute. Wipe away with a warm, wet face towel (or use a paper towel if you're short on time).

This is the only cleanser you need, while some people choose to use the trendy new 'double cleanse' method and follow oil cleanser with a water based one, we believe this is unnecessary and can be quite harsh on your skin.

Water based cleansers also often use harsh detergents and contain many harmful chemicals. We are quite skeptical of this trend as it urges the purchase of two products instead of one, a classic trick from big skincare corporations.

We recommend double cleansing with our Cleansing Oil if you are wearing makeup and/or sunscreen, the first cleanse removing those products and the second to cleanse the skin underneath.
